What is Baptism?
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian Life.
Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; We become members of Christ and his Church.
It is the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the six other sacraments.
We are incorporated in the Church and made sharers in her mission.
"Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water and in the word." (Catechism of the Catholic Church #1213)

Choosing Godparents
This is a very importaint decsion, and should be given great care. The godparent's are responsible for helping you to nurture the child in the Faith. Please keep in mind the following important things to know;
One male and one female may be godparents, or you can choose just one godparent.
The chosen godparent(s) really have to be practicing Catholic's in the Church, attend Mass weekly, and be over 18 years of age.
If you are choosing married godparent(s), we ask that they must be validly married within the Church.
In order to help teach the Faith to your child, they themselves must have received the Saraments of Baptism, Holy Commuinion, and Confirmation.
