Thank you to all our participants and volunteers in our 10th annual Knights of Columbus Charity Golf Tournament
May 19th at Crumpin-Fox Golf Course in Bernardston MA
This year the Greenfield Knights of Columbus, Council #133 hosted their10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Crumpin-Fox Golf Course in Bernardston on May 19th
The tournament started 10 years ago at the Country Club of Greenfield with 43 golfers and has grown over the years to where we now have 140-150 golfers playing.
We are now soliciting sponsors for this event. Our sponsorships range from $100 to $1500. Many of their supporters have been with them for all ten years and were recognized at this year’s tournament.
The tournament proceeds are the primary means of funding Council #133's charitable giving during the year. Last year’s giving included: 4 high school scholarships, contributions to several ”Feed the Hungry” campaigns, local sports teams, Baystate Hospital’s cancer fundraiser (“Wheeling for Healing”), the Greenfield YMCA Annual Campaign, the annual diocesan drive, Youth Group Camps and the local “Warm the Children” campaign. Significant donations were made to the recent Eucharistic Conference held in Springfield and the Franklin County Community Meals Program.
Additionally, they collected donations for two separate raffles.
It takes many people to plan and run an effort like this and we are certainly grateful to the hard working members of the Golf Committee, as well as all the volunteers who put in hours setting up, manning the raffle tables, and out on the green throughout the day.
